Before the train station I looked to my left.

Before the train station I looked to my left
Digital Image 2013.
A little dream inspired piece I felt compelled to do when I got up this morning. As always I have no idea what it means – or indeed if it means anything- but, as the title says, before the part of my dream that happened at the train station I looked to my left and saw this. Feel free to make up your own stories. :)

This is a piece I’ve been working on every now and then for ages and I’m so happy its finally done. Its a bit of a visual poem about truth- but I’ll let you get from it what you will.

And more Wallpapers!

Occasionally I’ll play around with something or create something just for the fun of it- or to experiment with a new program or techinique. The results aren’t really meant as full finished pieces but they do make nice wallpapers so I figured I’d share them with you. :) Enjoy!

Mandelbulb 3D Wallpapers

In case you’ve never heard of it (and unless you’re really into Fractals that’s quite likely)
Mandelbulb 3D is a program that lets you create and explore infinite worlds made by applying fractal geometry to a three dimensional space. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but its addictive and fascinating. Very worth a look. You’ll find a great article on how the program was created and how it works here and you can download it here. Its a free open-source program.
I’ve played around with it lots and here are a bunch of wallpapers I made using it. Enjoy! :)

Psychic Watchtowers

Psychic Watchtower
Digital Image 2012

I just can’t resist the pull of the surreal. For some reason the older I get the more I desire to live in a conceptional world free from the chains of the laws of physics. And in that world psychic disturbances might be feared like forest fires- with watchtowers to spot them from great distances.
